Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERMANENT APPOINTMENT:
Reachable on the Civil Service List for Nurse Administrator 1 OR currently permanent in a title eligible for a 70.1 transfer per Civil Service Rules and Regulations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT:
You must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as follows:
Either Nurse 2 (including all parenthetics), Community Mental Health Nurse (including all parenthetics), Infection Control Nurse, or Senior Utilization Review Nurse;
Or one year in any Grade 16 or higher position that requires a license and current New York State registration as a Registered Nurse.
Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and schedule nursing staff
Provide training to nurses/staff as required
Oversee nursing assessments and medical/nursing follow-up
Supervise and evaluate the provision of nursing care by the LPNs/RNs
Complete Quality Assurance reviews
Attend consumer case conferences as needed
Maintain Infection Control and environmental standards
Act as liaison to consumers’ families, medical consultants, and hospitals
Assure medication administration certification of direct care staff AMAPS
Other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Additional Comments ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 20 ($66,566), Increased Hiring Salary ($3,471), Geographic Pay Differential ($18,000), and Downstate Adjustment ($3,026). Downstate Adjustment and Geographic Pay Differential added to the job rate ($84,450) for PS&T Grade 20. Additional Compensation may apply based on shift assignment.
