Minimum Qualifications Non-Competitive: six years of experience* in equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, or human rights. *Qualifying experience includes working with organizations concerned with equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, civil rights, minority business development, or similar programs; or in recruiting, training, and upgrading the educational and job qualifcations of protected classs members. Substitutions: associate's degree may substitute for two years experience; bachelor's degree for four years; and J.D. or master's degree for five years.
Demonstrated experience speaking to large groups of people; demonstrated experience coordinating and representing employers at in-person and virtual events; demonstrated experience developing content for marketing material for outreach and recruitment events; demonstrated ability to successfully balance multiple priorities and meeting deadlines; demonstrated experience handling confidential information; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Duties Description The EOS 1 will assist with diversity and inclusion and equal opportunity efforts for the Department of Health (DOH); coordinate recruitment outreach activities in support of diversity and inclusion efforts; represent DOH at various job fairs, community events, and cultural awareness activities in support of attracting a diverse talent pool to meet DOH’s critical staffing needs; provide diversity, equity, and inclusion training to DOH employees; provide training to supervisors, managers, and directors on equal opportunity issues related to employment. The EOS 1 will also administer DOH’s reasonable accommodation program and follow technical requirements in accordance with Federal ADA guidelines.
