Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service Eligible List for this title.
Candidates must have permanent competitive status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.
Duties Description The Bureau of Program Implementation, Unit for Employment and Meaningful Community Activities is seeking to fill an Program Aide position to support the Employment Training Program (ETP). The Program Aide will provide support to division leadership and staff team to help move projects and activities designed to achieve OPWDD's priority transformational goals and outcomes to completion. The Program Aide will also assist in ensuring the efficient operation of the program by performing a wide range of duties related to data collection and analysis, reviewing and analyzing documents to meet requirements and for completion, tracking provider agency meetings, providing technical assistance, developing and editing program forms, customer service, data processing, generating reports and making recommendations, distributing program updates, and other duties as assigned. The Program Aide will also assist with human resource supports such as distributing human resource information and forms related to the employment training program for individuals we support, tracking various human resource functions and reporting due dates to management.
-Download statewide records in an electronic filing system and logging in all reports and documents received.
-Review program applications for completeness, save and track receive of applications.
-Collecting payroll reports from regions, compile reports and share with management.
-Download funding request forms, log requests in spreadsheets and send processed requests to provider agencies.
-Document and coordinate meetings with provider agencies. Track meetings and generate related reports.
-Provide customer service to provider agencies regarding ETP program documentation and and requirements.
-Maintain a program directory for ETP service providers and internal personnel.
-Prepare regular reports regarding program documentation, employment outcomes and human resources records.
-Take meeting minutes and distribute to various committees and work groups,
-Edit and format forms, reports, letters and public relations materials.
-Assist with on-boarding new employees.
-Submit requests for equipment, supplies, IT troubleshooting, business cards, etc.
-Review human resource documents for completion.
-Direct technical assistance questions to the appropriate unit personnel.
-Other duties as assigned.
