Duties Description The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) provides high-quality, person-centered services, supports and advocacy to individuals with developmental disabilities in New York State. Our guiding principle in our interactions with the people we serve and each other is “Putting People First,” and is exemplified with values of compassion, dignity, diversity, excellence and honesty.
OPWDD's Office of Investigations and Internal Affairs Division (OIIA) is seeking a person to work as a Administrative Assistant in a local field office. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support in an office setting and establish and implement procedures to maintain an efficient work flow. The Administrative Assistant will also serve as the liaison between OPWDD and other OIIA regional offices.
The duties of Administrative Assistant will include, but not be limited to, the following:

-Assist OIIA management in the implementation and DATA collection related to the upgrade of fleet of vehicles within the assigned region with 4G cameras and GPS systems.
-Review incoming correspondence and reports to determine their significance; prepare responses for supervisor review.
-Respond to questions or refer complex issues to appropriate staff.
-Collect and store critical milestone data to track reform progress and regulatory compliance.
-Handle incoming telephone calls or refer calls to appropriate staff.
-Schedule and set up meetings and conferences.
-Assist Investigators within the Region assigned
-Make travel arrangements and process travel expenses.
-Prepare presentation materials for the annual statewide report cards.
-Serve as liaison between OPWDD OIIA regions.
-Fulfill other support duties, as assigned.
