Duties Description Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or their designee, the incumbent performs semi-skilled and unskilled maintenance tasks. Duties will include, but are not limited to, routine activities such as buildings and grounds maintenance/cleaning, operation and basic maintenance of equipment such as string trimmers and mowers, landscaping, upkeep of parking lots and paths, loading/unloading vehicles, and event set-up and take-down. The selected candidate may also perform semi-skilled tasks such as painting and other light maintenance projects. Candidate will also perform the above duties at Steuben Memorial State Historic Site as required.
Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
A positive attitude and the enjoyment of working outdoors.
Must possess and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license as a term and condition of employment.
Must be able to understand both written and verbal communications
Must be able to work a variable work schedule and will be required to work weekends and evening hours as needed.
Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
