Reachable on the Civil Service List for Habilitation Specialist 1
OR
Permanent service as a Habilitation Specialist 1
OR
Eligible to 70.1 transfer to a Habilitation Specialist 1 title
OR
Eligible for provisional appointment pending examination. To be eligible for provisional appointment, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in a human services field and have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a clinical or direct care position OR one year of direct care or clinical experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

* If you are appointed provisionally, you must take the next scheduled civil service examination for this title and your score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list before you can be permanently appointed. If you do not pass the examination or achieve a reachable score, you may not be retained *.

Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hab Spec 1/ Medicaid Compliance

Under the supervision of the Lead Medicaid Liaison, the incumbent will independently perform the following duties:

•Perform internal audits of all programs receiving Medicaid Service to ensure compliance to Medicaid regulatory requirements
•Conduct or assist in training and education to all levels of staff on Medicaid Compliance issues and expectations.
•Assist the Lead Medicaid Compliance Liaison in reporting to the Director on Medicaid compliance audit findings on a quarterly basis
•Report to the Lead Medicaid Compliance Liaison on potential or actual self-disclosures
•Participate in statewide meetings and individual meetings with Central Office staff
•Review claim samples provided by Office of Audit Services and analyze service documentation for input on the provided spreadsheet quarterly
•Designated back-up to Lead Medicaid Liaison when needed
•Additional duties as assigned

All candidates must be current in all levels of PROMOTE and all mandated trainings. All candidates must have EHR access.
