Minimum Qualifications You must be reachable on the Office Assistant 1 S/M eligible list OR be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
To transfer under 70.1, you must have one year of permanent competitive service in a qualifying title allocated to a salary grade 6 or higher.

Duties Description • Receive and log requests at Service Desk
Ensure Service Desk coverage, provide guidance on work orders and any necessary follow-up or escalation of pending work orders. Ensures all incoming requests for building services or other assistance are quickly and correctly recorded and work orders are generated.

• Communication with Customers
Greets customers on phone or at walk-up window to receive requests and field questions regarding all services provided by Office Services, including inventory, mail intake and process, room set-up, and requests for delivery service. Handles non-standard requests when escalated or requested by the customer.

• Work Order Tracking
Ensures all outstanding work orders are created and handled timely by assigned area. Follow-up with appropriate areas on any work orders pending beyond the normal expected timeframe to resolve issues and ensure completion.
