Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in the state of New York AND have one full year of full-time post licensure clinical nursing experience.
You must take and pass a Civil Service examination to be considered for appointment to this position.
Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The temporary RN 2 will provide coverage where nursing needs are high and staffing ratios are low. The RN 2 duties may include, but are not limited to: injections, enteral feedings, wound care, insertion of catheters, ostomy care, and nursing assessments. Provides nursing care oversight, charts health status, transcribes physician’s orders accurately, and ensures appropriate medication orders and follow up appointments are communicated within the work location. This position will be provided a mentor for training. More details will be discussed at interview.
NOTE: You must have a valid driver’s license to apply as travel is a part of the duties involved in this position.
