Minimum Qualifications OGS is seeking a Senior Architect for a leadership role on our team that manages approximately $3 billion projects under construction or in design development annually. Excellent collaboration and strategic planning skills are highly desired to find and implementation of creative design solutions that meet the functional and financial requirements of our State agency clients. You will be responsible for design and documentation of projects from start to finish, while guiding and overseeing the work of assistant architects and consultants statewide.

New York State Professional Architects License and current registration required. Candidates who are currently 55b/c eligible AND possess a New York State Professional Architects License and current registration. STATE EMPLOYEES:
Current New York State employees with one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as a Facilities Planner 2 or Professional Engineer 1 (Civil/Construction) AND possess a NYS Registered Architect’s license with current registration, and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Coordinate and supervise complex architectural projects for new and rehabilitation of building plans and designs.
• Supervise and review specifications and drawings as submitted by Assistant Architects and drafting personnel.
• Review technical work of consultants.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines.
• Confer with client agencies and contractors.
• Supervise consultant work.

NOTE:
• Some Travel is Required throughout Western Region 7.

*LOCATION: Counties Served by Western Region 7: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genessee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans, Steuben, Wyoming.

Additional Comments • Continued employment as a Senior Architect is dependent upon continued possession of a New York State Professional Architect license with current New York State registration. Failure to maintain a New York State License and registration will result in removal from employment.
