Minimum Qualifications Reachable on the Civil Service Eligible list for Library Clerk 2, OR be eligible for transfer via Section 70.1, having at least on year of permanent service in a title approved for transfer by Civil Service.

Duties Description •Receive and check in books, journals, newspapers, and other materials in SIRSI, the library’s automated system.
•Open and process all incoming mail.
•Distribute materials to NYC bureaus, including large annual orders of books.
•Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. required.
•File all loose-leaf services, supplements, pocket parts and other materials.
•Act as liaison to NYC bureau staff; maintain current bureau contact list.
•Maintain accurate and current inventory of library and individual collections.
•Review library circulation cards on monthly basis and send overdue notices as needed.
•Maintain New York Law Institute membership list and overdue fine records.
•Assist in scheduling and planning online legal research training classes.
•Perform general maintenance of library space, including shelving, office equipment and supply maintenance.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
