Minimum Qualifications Seven (7) years of experience related to Business Intelligence Design, Development, and Maintenance and Operations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Five (5) years of Management Experience related to Business Intelligence Design, Development, and Maintenance and Operations.

Duties Description Manager Information Services (Business Intelligence/Reporting) duties include, but are not limited to:

• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Manager
• Respond to Critical System incidents 24/7/365
• Direct complex activities associated with systems analysis and application program development.
• Provide technical and team leadership and management for the Reporting Solutions Department
• Liaison with Assistant Director of Enterprise Solutions and Reporting for project delivery, future work, recommendation, footprint expansion, resource planning and identification
• Drive overall developers’ optimization and success in meeting their targets and objectives
• Manage and oversee business intelligence platform integration and maintenance
• Oversee the development of system design documentation, including technical and functional design documents.
• Have detailed knowledge of ETL Development, data profiling and process
• Work closely with developers and reporting unit to implement solutions that meet the business needs of the agency
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
• Become a subject matter expert supporting the development needs of the Reporting Solutions Department
• Build relationships across teams to leverage and extend better ETL and reporting development
• Understand your business stakeholders’ objectives, the metrics that are the most important to them, and how they measure their performance
• Turn business requirements into technical requirement
• Prepare reports for program directors
• Oversee daily health checks including server component status checks, jobs, and system resources; verify quality of work performed by Assistant Managers and consultant staff.
• Perform and oversee technical development and configuration of business intelligence functions, including reporting, dashboards, and backend databases that support system functionality.
• Oversee technical and development consultants and direct work activities
• Coordinate with development staff on defects resolution identified during integration testing of new releases of features
• Collaborates well with a team
• Supervise subordinate staff

Additional Comments The New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs (Justice Center) is charged with protecting over one million New Yorkers under the care or jurisdiction of six state agencies. The following list outlines several of the Justice Center’s key responsibilities:

• Advocate on behalf of individuals with disabilities and provide oversight of quality of care.
• Operate a centralized, statewide 24-hour hotline and incident reporting system staffed by trained personnel.
• Operate a statewide register that contains the names of individuals found responsible for egregious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect.
• Centralize and perform functions relating to criminal history background checks.
• Investigate serious allegations of abuse and neglect.
• Prosecute criminal acts of abuse and neglect.
• Analyze abuse patterns and trends in order to prevent future occurrences.
