Salary RangeFrom $57984 to $73813 Annually
Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must currently be permanent in the title of Social Worker Assistant 3, OR
• Must be active and reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list, OR
• Must be eligible for 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable by the NYS Department of Civil Service.
FOR PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT
• Must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work from a regionally accredited college or university, OR
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and one year of post bachelor’s experience in Social Work, OR
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a human service area and two years of post-bachelor’s experience in Social Work.
If you are appointed provisionally, you must take the next scheduled civil service examination for this title and your score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list before you can be permanently appointed. If you do not pass the examination or achieve a reachable score, you may not be retained *
Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
NYC Regional Office 4 is seeking two (2) SWA 3’s (Waiver/Enrollment Unit Liaisons) to join its Waiver and Enrollment Unit, which is responsible for processing waiver packages, enrollment ddp1s, inter district transfers and various other duties.
The incumbents will be involved in all aspects of the Waiver and Enrollment processes and must develop a strong working knowledge of both programs.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL PARTIALLY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Working within the NYC Waiver and Enrollment Unit
• Processing waiver and day service enrollments and terminations
• Processing waiver and service enrollments and terminations for individuals in residential services
• Answering questions and concerns from stakeholders; fix issues and problems as requested
• Working closely with local Revenue Support Field Office to resolve Medicaid coding matters
• Processing inter district transfers for individuals moving in or out of Region 4.
• Working with our Medicaid application, Employment, and Emod sections of the Unit
• Participating in meetings and conference calls representing the Waiver and Enrollment Unit
• Working on special projects
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
