Minimum Qualifications Current Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Health Program Administrator 2, G-25 OR current Department of Health or other NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a qualified title, G-23 or higher, and deemed eligible to transfer to Health Program Administrator 2 under Section 52.6 OR Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to demonstrate success in teamwork, data analysis, development of streamlined processes, provision of staff education, and a working knowledge of adult care and home care surveillance requirements.
Duties Description Under supervision of the Director of the Division of Adult Care Facility and Assisted Living Surveillance, the incumbent will utilize the principles of effective management and training to support oversight and monitoring of adult care and assisted living facilities; identify, develop, and implement education and training opportunities for internal and external stakeholders; and foster ongoing communication with other surveillance teams across the long term care continuum. The incumbent will be expected to develop and promote streamlined practices; generate reports; participate on interagency workgroups; respond to varying types of audiences; and ultimately identify opportunities for consistent and ongoing quality improvement in the surveillance processes intended to improve resident outcomes.
