Salary RangeFrom $79325 to $100342 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as a Administrative Specialist 2 OR in a position at the G-21 level or above deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two grades.

Duties Description Under the direction of a Security Program Management lead within the Chief Information Security Office, this position will perform tasks related to recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, and supporting the CISO Division and staff. This unit also provides operational support for continuity of operations, records retention, and other administrative duties as needed. This position may also supervise lower-level staff within the same unit.
The position requires communicating orally and in writing with various individuals including management, users, and other IT staff. The incumbent will have to work with ITS teams, Human Resources, Labor Relations, occasionally working with staff in stressful situations, and will require meticulous organizational skills to track and manage multiple moving parts.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to performing, coordinating, and supervising subordinates to:
• Support staffing needs as Human Resource Liaison for CISO.
• Participate in the building and delivery of a one-on-one CISO Orientation to all new CISO staff.
• Support CISO recruitment efforts.
• Create and maintain Human Resources and other procedures for CISO.
• Perform and monitor staff onboarding and offboarding.
• Work with supervisor to create and maintain hold Items for Non-Competitive staff
• Maintain supporting HR documentation such as up-to-date organizational and seating charts.
• Maintain library of standard job descriptions for all positions at CISO.
• Maintain up to date staff information in the Continuity of Operations database.
• Serve as Records Retention Officer and stay current on retention requirements for CISO records.
• Manage Visitor access to ITS buildings.
• Other duties as assigned and/or as the need arises
