Minimum Qualifications Either 1. a master’s or higher degree* AND one year of full-time qualifying experience;**
Or 2. a bachelor’s degree* AND two years of full-time qualifying experience;**
Or 3. an associate’s degree* AND four years of full-time qualifying experience;**
* Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States and its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency. **Qualifying Experience: Experience drafting and analyzing policies and strategies that include land use and/or financial planning, service delivery, economic development or finance to assist local governments
Duties Description The position would be a part time, hourly position. The Local Government Specialist 1 duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Contract management activities in the Division of Local Government Services
• Manage existing projects and contracts in the Local Government Efficiency and Northern Border Regional Commission programs, focused in Northern New York Counties.
• General project development
Additional Comments The shift is flexible between the hours of 7:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.
