Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as a grade 11 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.
70.4 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: 1. One year of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service in a position allocated to a Salary Grade 11 or higher. 2. Must meet the Minimum qualifications of an Investigative Officer 1/Trainee. 3. A passing score on an Investigative Officer 1/Trainee exam. 4. Candidates must not have failed the most recent examination for this title.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
As an Investigative Officer 1, the incumbent will perform office/field work required in the enforcement of State labor laws governing minimum wages, child labor, hours of work, wage payment, employment agency operation, industrial homework, farm labor and the like.

Occasional overnight travel required.
As this position requires travel, the appointee must have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State and have a motor vehicle or otherwise demonstrate their capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position.
