Minimum Qualifications Five years of experience in maintaining records in a warehouse or office setting, at least one of which must have been at a supervisory level. An Associate’s Degree or higher may substitute for 2 years of experience.

Duties Description Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise staff at the OVS Sexual Offense Evidence Collection Kit (SOECK) storage facility;
• Primary point of contact for inquiries from hospitals, law enforcement agencies, etc.;
• Directly supervise the resealing and repackaging of potential evidence as needed;
• Responsible for coordinating activities of annual inventory and routine audits of evidence onsite;
• Responsible for ensuring chain of custody is documented;
• Assist the OVS Storage Facility Manager in overseeing that all systems such as refrigeration, security systems, facility maintenance, purchases, etc. are running appropriately and maintaining communication with those entities that would need to address any physical facility issues;
• Ensure accountability, integrity, and quality of the tracking process once evidence is inside the facility;
• Review requests for evidence to be released to law enforcement, returned to victims, or disposed of to ensure appropriate consent is obtained and documents contain required information;
• Manage delivery acceptance schedule to ensure hospitals and carriers know when evidence will be accepted;
• Provide support to Program Assistants, including performing the same duties when there are staffing needs or periods of high intake volume;
• Respond to subpoenas and testify in court, if required; and
• Physically move kits and retrieve items up to approximately 30lb that may be on shelving.

Additional Comments These positions are being filled for a temporary period of approximately 18 months. The positions may be extended pending operational need and approval from the Division of Budget. Temporary employment may also lead to permanent appointment in the future.
