Minimum Qualifications Current NYS employees with one year of permanent service in an G-25/M1 title or higher, depending on your method of appointment, eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Full-Time, M-F; Hours of the position will be discussed at the time of interview, including questions regarding, Compressed work week, Flextime and Telecommuting.
Duties Description Serve as the Program Manager in Transformation, Data, & Program Support with specific oversight of both the Program Governance Office (PGO).
The Office of Transformation, Data and Program Support is tasked with implementing all aspects of DMV’s Strategic Plan and works in lock step with the DMV’s executive team, senior managers, and business units to transform the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Within the Office of Transformation, Data and Program Support, Agency Projects and Program Support is responsible for achieving DMV’s strategic goals through effective management of the agency’s large project portfolio.
Under general direction of Director of Projects and Programs, the Principal Administrative Analyst 2 (G27) will play a key role in managing, planning, and providing oversight of DMV’s Program Governance Office.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Lead the development and continued maturity of the Program Governance Office to ensure effective communication and coordination with DMV executives, senior managers, and business units.
• Facilitate development and implementation of program governance policies, standards, and procedures according to industry best practices.
• Oversee modifications to the program governance program to ensure continuous improvement.
• Facilitate development of program governance key performance metrics (KPI’s) and use of those metrics to analyze and report out on trends.
• Prepare reports and materials for distribution to executives, senior managers, and agency staff to report on program governance activities and accomplishments.
• Lead the assessment, acquisition, development, and implementation of program governance management tracking tools to facilitate agency-wide program status updates, prioritization, resource management and information sharing.
• Oversee appropriate engagement and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor subordinate staff, providing necessary technical guidance, training, and direction.
• Other duties as assigned.
