Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law, or be appointed in accordance with provisions provided by Civil Service Law, Section 55b/c.

Duties Description Under the supervision of a Principal Capital Program Analyst (SG-27), the incumbent will perform a variety of duties associated with the management of the Department's intercity passenger rail programs, including, but not limited to:

-Tabulate and analyze operational and financial data related to Amtrak intercity passenger rail services, including, but not limited to ridership, on-time performance, costs and revenues;
-Develop and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports;
-Assist in the review of invoices;
-prepare and process contracts, reimbursements, and Bureau transactions within the Statewide Financial System (SFS); and
-Perform quality assurance inspections of service quality and equipment, and facility conditions.

Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.

Additional Comments *Telecommuting: The Department’s current telecommuting agreement is valid through December 31, 2022 and is subject to extension beyond that date.
