Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates reachable on the Civil Service Eligible list(s) will be canvassed. However, you may also apply if you are eligible for appointment by one of the following qualifications:
70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: One-year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55 b/c service in title Grade 7 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.

PROVISIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: You must be a qualified employee of New York State and
have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in an office assistant, clerical,
or keyboarding title allocated to Grade 5 or higher.
The appointed candidate would have to take, pass and be reachable on the next holding of the
examination to be appointed permanently.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES: The Office Assistant 2 (Customer Service) duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• perform complicated clerical and office support activities that require substantive knowledge of the program and/or of the program’s governing laws, rules, and regulations;
• process sensitive applications, requests, or inquiries in which management or executive staff may be contacted;
• perform activities that may require coordination with internal or external parties.
Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evening and/or out-stationed assignments.
