Minimum Qualifications If mandatory rehiring lists exist for this title, appointment other than reassignment must be made from these lists. If there are no acceptors from these lists, appointment may be made using the following: Eligibility for appointment: a) Employees who are currently serving in the same title are eligible for reassignment without change in title or status; b) Candidates reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title and location; c) Employees eligible for transfer OR Provisional Appointment: In the event that an eligible list for this title does not exist, or has less than three acceptors, a candidate that meets the below minimum qualifications may also be eligible:
Either 1. two years of full-time experience in a position where your primary responsibility is providing information concerning and/or explaining programs, policies, and/or procedures; resolving problems; or reconciling accounts;
Or 2. one year of full-time experience providing tax specific information and/or tax specific assistance to taxpayers;
Or 3. one year of full-time experience working on the development, testing, or maintenance of a tax specific system;
Or 4. one year of full-time combined experience of #2 and #3;
Or 5: 30 semester credit hours of college-level study AND one year of the experience stated in qualification #1; OR 30 semester credit hours of college-level study AND six months of individual or combined experience stated in qualification #2 and #3;
Or 6. 60 semester credit hours of college-level study.
Note: Provisional appointments are made pending an exam and will be revoked if the selected candidate is not immediately reachable on the eligible list resulting from the next holding of the exam.

Duties Description This position may be in-person, or partially remote and partially in-person however this is subject to change.

Duties Description within the Personal Income Tax Bureau:

• Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with both internal and external customers, such as taxpayers, tax professionals and software developers.
• Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgement in monitoring multiple work assignments.
• Complete non-routine assignments independently with minimal supervisory oversight.
• Adhere to the Department’s time and attendance rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate acceptable knowledge and skill in the use of prescribed software, Department systems, and other tools to effectively complete assignments.
• Access pertinent information from various processing and imaging systems.
• Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, a strong work ethic, a commitment to the success of assignments, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Read, understand, and apply laws, procedures, rules, regulations and guidelines where clear precedents and detailed direction may or may not exist.
