Minimum Qualifications Permanent status as an Addictions Planning Analyst 4, M-3, and interested in reassignment; OR Eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Provisional and Non-Competitive Promotion Qualifications:
One year of permanent service as an Addictions Planning Analyst 3
Non-Competitive (NCP) under Section 52.7 of the Civil Service Law: In accordance with Section 52.7 of the Civil Service Law, if the number of qualified candidates within OASAS apply for the position is three or less, a permanent appointment may be made, at agency discretion, by non-competitive promotion of an applicant who meets the minimum qualifications.
Duties Description DUTIES
The Addictions Planning Analyst 4 is responsible for the Bureau’s leadership and execution of State and local planning, strategic directions, and epidemiological assessments. The Addictions Planning Analyst 4 sets the direction for the bureau priorities and initiatives through the following:
• Supervise staff of the Bureau
o Align staff duties and responsibilities with Agency and Division goals
• Develop policies and procedures for strategic planning, epidemiological data collection, and surveillance.
• Approve and edit written reports, presentations, dashboards, and other wok products produced by the Bureau.
• Oversee strategies for internal and external trainings on the use of Bureau work products.
• Translate the Agency and Division goals and strategies to tasks and deliverables for the Bureau.
• Work with leadership of other Divisions to ensure Bureau is providing exceptional service to support Agency functions.
• Serve on OASAS workgroups to represent the Division and Bureau.
• Represent OASAS at outside meetings with other State, county and NYC agencies.
• Manage short-term projects to achieve the Division’s goals.
• Represent the Agency on panels and at workshops, conferences on data analysis, management, planning, evaluation, and research.
• Other duties as assigned by Division and Agency leadership.
