Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 1 and reachable on the Information Technology Specialist 2 list OR in a position at G-16 or higher deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law OR in a position approved for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in advancement of more than two salary grades. Duties Description The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking an Information Technology Specialist 2 to work within our Java Application Development team of the Business Solutions unit. The incumbent will be responsible for working on all the aspects of web applications development, which includes: requirement gathering, development, testing, migration, and post production support. In addition to that this position requires day to day maintenance of legacy applications, break fix, identify problem areas, and solution to problems.

DUTIES:
• Develop new applications using: Struts, ADF, Java, JSP, Servlet, and PL/SQL.
• Maintain existing web applications and provide customer support.
• Prepare comprehensive test plans and conduct QA testing.
• Ensure best practices are being followed while developing new applications.
• Develop applications using WCAG and OAG security standards.
• Provide detail application document and architecture diagram.
• Mobile app development
• Provide team collaboration and automation with tools like DEVOPS
• Develop applications using Low-Code/No-Code Tech stack
• Automating workflows using workflow tools
• Developing backend REST API’s
• Scan and remediate application security issues with Vulnerability scanning software.
• Integrate applications with modern security protocols like SAML or OpenID.
