Minimum Qualifications TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS
One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service allocated to a Grade 9 or higher eligible for transfer and determined to be similar by Civil Service.

55 B/C QUALIFICATIONS
Current permanent non-competitive state employees certified eligible for the 55 B/C program under the Governor's Program to Hire Persons/Veterans with Disabilities pursuant to Section 55 B/C of the Civil Service Law will also be considered. To be considered, you must provide a copy of your letter of eligibility with your response.
PROVISIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Based on the results of the canvass of the current eligible list for the Business Document Specialist 2, the Department may elect to make a provisional appointment to this position rather than a permanent appointment. If a provisional appointment is made, the appointed candidate will be required to compete in the next holding of the Business Document Specialist 2 exam and be reachable for appointment from the newly established eligible list. The minimum qualifications for provisional appointment are:
• Must be a qualified employee of the New York State Department of State and have had one month of permanent competitive or 55-B service as a Business Document Specialist 1, Business Document Specialist Trainee or in any position at Salary Grade 9 or above.
Duties Description DUTIES:
The Business Document Specialist 2 duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Create and process work orders for all types of filings processed by the Division of Corporations, Review Unit
• Review corporation, limited liability company, limited partnership and registered limited liability partnership documents for statutory and departmental policy compliance
• Accurately enter pertinent information from the certificates into the Cenuity processing system for those documents that are acceptable
• Properly identify any issues with submissions and create a comprehensive letter outlining the reasons why the submission could not be filed for submissions that do not meet the requirements
• Ensure that all correspondence generated is returned to the submitter in the manner requested.
