Minimum Qualifications

Duties Description Incumbent is responsible for a variety of duties necessary for the operation and cleanliness of the Wildlife Resources Center, grounds and outbuildings. Duties include but not be limited to: perform general custodial tasks and maintenance of building, such as cleaning common areas, offices and restrooms, necropsy suites and laboratory; painting and moving furniture; perform general grounds maintenance tasks, such as mowing lawns, trimming and removing trees and shrubs, maintaining parking lots and sidewalks, snow and ice removal, and trash removal, as well as perform basic building maintenance and routine semi-skilled maintenance and repair of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry and equipment maintenance; serve as the primary point of contact on-site for contractors and vendors; perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects and equipment; work comfortably at heights, such as climbing ladders; operate a motor vehicle with snowplow and other motorized equipment; and a variety of light mechanized equipment.

Additional Comments Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 3/31/2023. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
