Minimum Qualifications Reachable on the OMIG promotional list for Management Specialist 2, or current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Management Specialist 2, OR New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law.
Current OMIG employees in a G-23 title are encouraged to apply for reassignment. Candidates in titles where there is no transfer determination are encouraged to apply if you believe you have prior experience related to the responsibilities outlined.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Duties Description This position will supervise the functions and staff of the Bureau of Medicaid Fraud Allegations (BMFA) within the Division of Medicaid Investigations. Tasks include oversight of the intake of Medicaid fraud allegations, their entry into the internal case tracking system (FACTS), redirecting calls to appropriate agencies, overseeing DMI reporting functions, liaison with external agencies (Office of the Attorney General), processing referrals, work collaboratively with unit staff and management, communicate professionally with other agencies and divisions within OMIG.
