Minimum Qualifications Permanent status as an Administrative Assistant 2 and interested in transfer; OR reachable for permanent appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list; OR eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Administrative Assistant 2 to the Division of Addiction Treatment and Recovery (ATAR) serves as the administrative assistant for the division. Reporting to the Associate Commissioner or the Deputy director, the incumbent will:
• Supervise the Administrative Assistant 1 who provides support to Division's Bureau of Adolescents, Women and Children.
• Provide support for Associate Commissioner and division leadership including travel reporting, work from home tracking and other administrative functions.
• Coordinating numerous calendars to schedule meetings with OASAS staff, sister state agencies, Federal and local government representatives, Substance Use Disorder (SUD) providers and myriad community stakeholders.
• Responsible for equipment inventory control (EIGR); answering division phones, handling correspondence, filing, copying, faxing, supporting staff submission of ITS tickets and Tracking and Processing mail, supplies and purchase requests.
• Provides administrative support and coordinating logistics for Bureau trainings such as LOCADTR, Trauma Informed Care and other trainings provided by the Divisions.
• Assists staff w/questions on office directives, changes & protocols as they occur.
• Assist w/interview set-up and new staff set up, human resources documentation.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
