Duties Description Under the supervision of an Associate Accountant, the incumbent of the Senior Accountant position in the Bureau of Financial Operations will be assigned to the Title IV-E/ Local District Claiming Unit. The Title IV-B accountant will be responsible to review the 58 Local Districts of Social Services’ (LDSS) claims in accordance with the Federal Code of Regulations, (CFR) 45 CFR 75.352(d) and 45 CFR 75.352(e) to ensure the federal funds spent by the local districts were spent in compliance with federal statutes, regulations, and the terms and conditions of the subaward.


Other duties of the position will include but not be limited to:

• Assist the Associate Accountant in developing and implementing Title IV-B enhanced monitoring processes in response to the KPMG State Single Audit finding.
• Interface with local districts to request and obtain supporting documentation, and confirming that payments were made for services that are allowable, per federal guidelines
• Review applicable regulations and their impact on federal and state funding/reporting and ensure claims are submitted in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Successfully provide analysis on required federal and state changes as well as other required changes to ensure fiscal enhanced monitoring reviews stay current with any updates/changes.
• Provide recommendations to the Associate Accountant regarding applicable administrative, programmatic, and fiscal concerns, policies, priorities, and procedures
• Prepare and clear all necessary policy directives and correspondence to the districts.
• Assist with updates to the Fiscal Reference Manuals.
• Participate in meetings and take steps to operationalize changes to BFO business practices.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.

Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment and may have their names removed from the eligible list(s) for the title(s) if applicable.
