Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess a New York State Driver’s License appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated. Candidates may be required to possess a CDL Class A, B, C or General Class D license.

Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION: Motor Vehicle Operators drive any of a variety of motor vehicles as is indicated by possession of appropriate licenses in order to transport people, material, and equipment. The Taconic Area 3 Motor Vehicle Operator will directly serve approximately 160 individuals and 85 staff in Area 3 and serve as back up to MVO in Areas 2 and 3.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
• assist with transporting equipment and necessary materials throughout the district
• transport individuals and their staff to appointments and clinics
• map routes, itineraries, and points of call
• move or carry cargo onto, into, off of, or out of the vehicle operated
• move or carry cargo from the vehicle to the delivery or storage point
• post manifests, inventories, and other records of goods and people transported
• tend to routine maintenance of vehicles operated in order to ensure that cargo and people are transported safely
