Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be employed by New York State to be eligible to apply for this position.
Candidates must have permanent status as an Program Aide (formerly Agency Program Aide/Administrative Aide), Grade 13, and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Based on federal and/or state regulations, this position requires vaccination against COVID-19. Upon appointment, the selected candidate must be fully vaccinated, or willing to become fully vaccinated, against COVID-19 and will be required to provide proof of vaccination. Candidates who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of interview may not start working until two weeks after their final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill a Program Aide, Grade 13, position in the Office of Financial Management, Consolidated Business Office. The Consolidated Business Office (CBO) is responsible for consolidated cash management, vouchering, and payroll services for OMH Central Office and 24 OMH psychiatric facilities. The incumbent of this position will support the Systems Support Unit of the Consolidated Business Office. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supervise/lead a team responsible for, but not limited to, creating, running and maintaining report from various sources. Specific discipline areas may vary.
Develop and maintain computer programs (i.e. Access, Excel, Sharepoint) as required by Managers. Develop and/or maintain various form shells utilized by managers and/or staff on the
Shared Drive.
Process vouchering transactions for OMH CBO Program Areas.
Assist in creating and maintaining the CBO’s public space (HUB, Sharepoint) Ensure the availability of current information for CBO, Program & Facility staff.
Miscellaneous assignments/duties as required and/or as they occur.
Additional Comments The Consolidated Business Office is conveniently located in independent offices on the grounds of the Capital District PC at 75 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, New York. Guaranteed covered parking with exclusive employee entrance to office areas is available for $5/month.
