Minimum Qualifications Permanent Qualification: Candidates must currently be a permanent Senior Administrative Analyst; OR

Eligible List Appointment: For appointment to a two-year traineeship leading to a Senior Administrative Analyst, SG-18: Reachable for appointment from one of the following eligible lists: the Gaming Commission Public Administration Traineeship Transition Program (PATT) #00-437 or current Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) #26-570; OR

Transfer Qualification: Candidates must be a current New York State employee eligible for transfer via Section 70.1, 52.6, or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Under the general direction of the Associate Administrative Analyst this position Is responsible for assisting in the assurance of regulatory compliance of video lottery, commercial gaming, Indian gaming, sports wagering and interactive fantasy sports operations within the State of New York.
• Review, process, and log Gaming transportation requests.
• Verification of Video Gaming ETG software certification prior to shipment approval.
• Approval of sensitive key orders
• ETG Software management and return of outdated software.
• ETG Test Lab software management, assisting with ETG installs in the test lab.
• Oversee the Test Lab and coordinate with receiving machine deliveries.
• Manage VLT and Commercial software security/seal tape log and tape orders
• Process, log, and file transportation requests for Commercial, VLT and ETG software/cabinet changes at all facilities.
• Facilitate Video Gaming on-sites to conduct an audit of sensitive keys at facilities bi-annually and report on findings, investigate any discrepancies. .
• Create service tickets through the Office of Information Technology Services help portal
• Generate daily analysis for the comparison of Video Lottery Terminals and Electronic Table Games
• Distribute change order approvals to all video gaming facilities.
• Process and log Free Play allowance for video gaming facilities.
• Process Capital Award approvals/denials.
• Run various weekly reports.

NOTE ON TELECOMMUTING: Gaming Commission employees are required to apply and obtain approval through management to telecommute according to the Gaming Commission’s Telecommuting Program Guidelines.

PROHIBITION AGAINST PLAYING AND WAGERING
Commission employees and family members residing in their households are prohibited from purchasing Lottery tickets or claiming Lottery prizes. Commission employees are prohibited from wagering upon any horse racing, commercial gaming, video lottery gaming, Indian gaming, charitable gaming activities, interactive fantasy sports, and mobile sports wagering within the State.

To avoid any appearance of impropriety of conflict of interest, Commission employees will be prohibited from all aspects of promoting, operating, and playing in any charitable gaming, which includes bingo and games of chance such as raffles, whether the organization conducting the game is required to be licensed by the Commission. The prohibition placed upon each Commission employee from assisting with any charitable gaming does not apply to the employee's family unless the employee thinks it presents a conflict of interest related to his or her job duties. Commission employees must also avoid any outside activities that could interfere or be perceived to interfere with their job duties.
