Duties Description Management and oversight of the DEC’s Automated Licensing System. Duties include:
• Oversee contracting process to secure an outside contractor to implement and host an automated licensing system for the sale of hunting, trapping and fishing licenses for the sporting license public.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for system development, data migration and new system implementation, ensuring all contract requirements are met and business rules are followed in compliance with NYCRR and ECL.
• Act as the main liaison/contact point between DECALS stakeholders, including contract vendor, various DEC Divisions and NYS agencies and boards.
• Direct supervision of EPS 1 positions and indirect supervision over License Sales support staff.
• Submit tickets, establish priorities, and track progress for all system bugs, functionality improvements and new development work.
• Work closely with Division staff on all DECALS-related data collection and reporting needs.
• Receive, verify, and submit DECALS contract invoices and track for prompt and accurate payment.
• Oversee creation and submission of state and federally mandated reports.
Additional Comments Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Travel may be required. Overtime may be required. Overnight travel may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must provide 24-hour response on a rotational basis and work during normal business hours.
