Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess a NYS Professional Engineer License and current registration. To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the Current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law

Duties Description Duties of this position, which will be discussed in greater detail during the interview process may include, but are not limited to:

• Act as a Regional Local Project Liaison
• Act as the Regional Rail Coordinator
• Supervise a Planning Unit responsible for Local Programs including Site Plan/ SEQR Review, CHIPs, PAVENY, Extreme Winter, Touring Route and Multi-Modal local programs
• Supervise an engineering support unit responsible for Traffic Modeling, Traffic Counts Management, IPP preparation
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
