One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service allocated to a Grade 12 or higher eligible for transfer and determined to be similar by Civil Service.

PROVISIONAL QUALIFICATION
One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service as a Business Document Specialist 2, Grade 11.
Based on the results of the canvass of the current eligible list for the Business Document Specialist 3 the Department may elect to make a provisional appointment to this position rather than a permanent appointment. If a provisional appointment is made, the appointed candidate will be required to compete in the next holding of the Business Document Specialist 3 exam and be reachable for appointment from the newly established eligible list
Duties Description The Business Document Specialist 3 duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Reviews the more difficult corporate filings such as not-for-profit corporations, stock changes, mergers, etc., along with the less complex documents, for statutory and departmental compliance.
• Supervises and provides guidance, training, and assistance to staff.
• Determines the availability of proposed corporation names.
• Operates alphanumeric keyboard on a PC to enter data from certificates into the Cenuity system.
• Files certificates in compliance with statute and rejects or suspends those certificates not in compliance.
• Reviews “walk-in” customer’s documents for statutory and departmental policy compliance.
• Prints individual operator reports and verifies each report with adding machine tapes of fees processed. Interfile the operator reports with the remittances in the revenue office.
• Processes credit card transactions for certificates submitted to the Division of Corporations.
• Makes necessary corrections to records on the database.
