Duties Description The New York State Office of the Attorney General’s (OAG) is seeking an Auditor 1 or Auditor Trainee 1 for their Internal Control Office.

Duties:

- Collect, review, and assemble agency wide policies and procedures (P&P). Act as a librarian for these P&P and advise Bureaus and Offices on their status and/or applicable updates.
- Learn the working of the New York State Statewide Financial System (NYS SFS) and perform basic data collection, compilation, review, analysis (including account analysis) and prepare reports as directed.
- Learn how to develop and develop process flowcharts for major financial and other key processes within the bureaus and offices. Review process flows with applicable bureau or office staff and provide update reports to the ICO.
- Learn the OAG property control system, review records and reconcile assets to the OAG and State records systems. Provide review reports (including findings) to the Internal Control Officer (ICO).
- Perform other functions as assigned by the ICO or the OAG Chief Operating Officer – COO (and/or their designees).
- Develop an understanding of how the following financial areas work through understanding their process flows and NYS SFS functionality. The budgetary process, purchasing (including contracts), revenue, and payments.
