Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Reassignment: Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as a Manager Educational and Vocational Services Coordination 2.

Provisional Appointment: In the absence of an eligible list with three or more candidates willing to accept a position, a temporary provisional appointment may be considered. For provisional appointment, candidates must have:
A. one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as a District Manager, Vocational Rehabilitation Manager, or Educational and Vocational Services Coordination 1, OR
B. two years of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as a or Associate Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, or Assistant District Manager, Vocational and Educational Services.
Provisional candidates must take the examination for Manager Educational and Vocational Services Coordination 2 when it is next offered and must be reachable on the resulting eligible list to maintain employment.
Employees of ACCES who are currently in a Manager Educational and Vocational Services Coordination 2 position and are interested in transferring to the location indicated on this flyer MUST apply for the position as outlined in the Application section of this flyer.
Duties Description The New York State Education Department’s (NYSED) Office of Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) is seeking candidates for a Manager, Vocational and Educational Services Coordination 2 position in the ACCES-VR Central Office. This Office is responsible for ensuring individuals with disabilities receive quality vocational rehabilitation services provided within the parameters of Federal, State and SED regulations. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Provide oversight and implementation of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) New York State Combined Plan;
• Provide oversight and implementation of ACCES-VR’s Training Unit;
• Provide oversight and implementation of ACCES-VR’s Policy Unit;
• Provide oversight and implementation of the State Rehabilitation Council (SRC); and,
• Provide oversight and implementation of the Ticket to Work Program.
Additional Comments CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position will be a contingent-permanent or temporary provisional appointment. Provisional candidates must take the examination for Manager Educational and Vocational Services Coordination 2 when it is next offered and must be reachable on the resulting eligible list to maintain employment. Promotions and transfers may change appointees’ negotiating unit. Candidates should be aware that changes in negotiating units may affect their salary, insurance, and other benefits. This position will require supervision of staff and 50% in-state/statewide travel.
This position leads to a maximum salary of $133, 319 based on annual performance advances.
