3. Open Competitive: Senior Occupational Therapist: Licensed and currently registered to practice as an Occupational Therapist in New York State AND have one year of post licensure occupational therapy experience.

Duties Description The Senior Occupational Therapist will work under the direction of the Head Occupational Therapist as part of a clinical team that supports adults with developmental disabilities in their homes, in the community, and state operated day habilitation programs, to maximize their health, safety and independence. The Senior Occupational Therapist participates as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

• The Senior Occupational Therapist provides Occupational Therapy evaluation, treatment, training and consultation services, including but not limited to the areas of ADL’s, dining, positioning, independent living skills and sensory processing/integration needs.
• The Senior Occupational Therapist provides training to the direct care staff and residential supervisors on Occupational Therapy plans.
• Attends clinical treatment team meetings, life plan meetings, and consults with other members of the team regarding integration of plans.
• The Senior Occupational Therapist should be familiar with using Electronic Health Records and Microsoft Outlook.
• Daily travel is necessary throughout Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties.
• Other duties as assigned.
