Reassignment Qualifications (Current Department of Labor employees only):
Current Department of Labor employee with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in a Supervising Labor Services Representative; if you have less than one year, you must be reachable on the current eligible list for this location, if one exists.

One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in the following titles may qualify for transfer pursuant to Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law:

Employment Counselor Spanish Language – Grade 18
Employment Services Representative – Grade 18
Investigative Officer 2 Unemployment Insurance – Grade 20
Senior Administrative Analyst – Grade 18
Senior Unemployment Insurance Hearing Representative – Grade 20
Senior Unemployment Insurance Reviewing Examiner – Grade 20
Unemployment Insurance Accounts Support Supervisor 1 – Grade 20
Workforce Programs Specialist 1 – Grade 18

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
The Supervising Labor Services Representative duties will include but are not limited to:
• supervise professional and clerical staff through the development of a cohesive team that focuses on meeting Department needs by directing staff in a uniform approach ensuring the delivery of services to the agency’s customers;
• representing the Commissioner of Labor and the Division Director at meetings with local workforce investment boards, the local Chamber of Commerce and other community-based organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.
Additional Comments Candidate MAY be allowed to telecommute up to 2 days per pay period dependent upon operational needs
Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evening and/or out-stationed assignments.
