Minimum Qualifications 70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service allocated to a Grade 12 or higher eligible for transfer and determined to be similar by Civil Service.

55 B/C QUALIFICATIONS:
Current permanent non-competitive state employees certified eligible for the 55 B/C program under the Governor's Program to Hire Persons/Veterans with Disabilities pursuant to Section 55 B/C of the Civil Service Law will also be considered. To be considered, you must provide a copy of your letter of eligibility with your response.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high productivity environment and effectively in a team environment
- Experience in Customer Service
- Working knowledge of Human Resources Systems such as HRIS, HCM, NYSTEP, and PayServ
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Duties Description The Office Assistant 3 HR will function independently in performing a wide range of personnel functions including, but not limited to:
- Assist Human Resources Specialist 2 with processing special payroll/per diem recruitment
- Conduct new employee onboarding including but not limited to following up with new employees to ensure all onboarding paperwork is received and processed
- Administer payroll for both administration and institution payroll
- Maintenance of HRIS data including separations and ensuring HRIS employee/position information matches HCM, PayServ and NYSTEP
- Pull and analyze data for HR reporting including Appointment Level Title Detail Report, Leave, Position, Probation, and Appointment End Date Reports
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
