Minimum Qualifications You must be currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title or eligible to transfer to this title under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

70.1 Transfer:

For a 70.1 transfer to an Office Assistant 2, SG-09, you must have one year of permanent competitive service in an approved 70.1 title allocated to a salary grade 07 or above.

Duties Description · Inventory & Preparation of Batches for Deposit

Reviews incoming remittance to identify potential problems and enters identifying information into tracking database. Batches appropriate checks together, completes necessary paperwork to prepare for deposit and verifies accuracy of prepared batches.

· Process & Review Deposits

Review checks and paperwork that are deposited into multiple banks and treasury accounts, then enters the information into tracking database. Arrange for bank and treasury deposits utilizing deposit procedures.

· Disposition Follow-up

Follows up with the business unit to obtain disposition instructions and updates the RMS system accordingly.

· Review Work Completed for the Office of Unclaimed Funds

Assist the Office Assistant 1 in entering stocks and bonds received for OUF into the RMSOUF security database as necessary. Review remittances entered for accuracy.

· Training of New Staff

Assist in the training of new staff on all aspects of job as needed.

· Attention to Detail – Must be able to key numbers accurately. Files must be maintained and processed accurately. Deposits must be processed promptly.

· Dependability – Unless absence is pre-approved, expected to report to work and ready to perform the normal duties, in support of your co-workers.

· Excellent communication skills are required to pass along information to business units and supervisors.

· Ability to demonstrate adaptability based on business needs.
