Minimum Qualifications You must be currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title, or eligible to transfer to this title under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
70.1 Transfer:
For a 70.1 transfer to this title, you must have one year of permanent competitive service in an approved 70.1 title allocated to a salary grade 10 or above.
Appointments via transfer must not result in a second, consecutive transfer with an advancement of more than two S-grades or one M-grade.

Duties Description Process enrollment, demographic and restoration cases
• Enrollment cases include not only new enrollments but add a person transactions, job data updates and reviewing employer submitted applications for discrepancies or inconsistencies. Demographic cases include name, address, gender, social security number and pre-retirement beneficiary changes. Restoration cases involve the evaluation of membership applications for returning retirees.
Process corrections on enrollments and beneficiary pages
• Process correct history transactions on member enrollment and beneficiary pages.
Field Employer Phone Calls and Respond to Member/Employer Retirement Inquiries
• Answers employers’ phone calls pertaining to new and subsequent enrollments, and demographic updates. Responds to member/employer e-mails, faxes and correspondence pertaining to all functional areas of member enrollment.
Assist in the training of grade 6’s, 9’s and 12’s on section procedures
• Follows section training plan and monitors employees’ progress on a daily basis. Updates supervisor of employees’ progress.
Perform Quality Assurance Review
• Ten percent of all enrollment and demographic cases are reviewed for quality assurance.
