Minimum Qualifications This is a transfer opportunity for current State Employees. The position is an 18-month traineeship, starting as a CSEA SG-6 and leading to a CSEA SG-9. To be transfer eligible you must have current permanent or contingent permanent status as an Office Assistant 1, LDDS Trainee, or LDDS.

Candidates must demonstrate adequate keyboarding skills by prior service in a keyboarding title or successful completion of a keyboarding performance test (30 WPM WITH 96% ACCURACY).

Duties Description This position is in the Charities Bureau.

Duties:

• Learn and apply the bureau’s compliance standards as detailed in the Evaluator training guide.

• Acquire working knowledge of pertinent laws, rules, regulations, and procedures governing the operation of charities operating in New York State.

• Review and analyze an average of 50 filings daily; paying close attention to accuracy, detail, and consistency.

• Working with the unit supervisor, flag any major compliance issues in organization filings.

• Issue accurate and complete notice letters requesting missing material or payments for any incomplete filings.

• Create, maintain, and submit accurate logs reflecting each day’s evaluations and their results.

• Maintain accurate records in the IBM FileNet and future content management and registry systems.

• Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to FOIL response.
