Minimum Qualifications 70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service allocated to a Grade 21 or higher eligible for transfer and determined to be similar by Civil Service.
52.6 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service allocated to a Grade 23 or higher eligible for transfer and determined to be administrative by Civil Service.
For transfers, a list of approved titles is available through Civil Service GOT-IT at https://careermobilityoffice.cs.ny.gov/cmo/gotit/. The GOT-IT site will inform you if your title requires special qualifications for 52.6 or 70.1 transfer as detailed above.
Duties Description The Training Specialist 2 duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Develop and implement new training initiatives and modify existing programs based on an assessment of program needs for internal and external learners.
• Leverage technology to enhance training effectiveness and maximize staff resources.
• Collaborate with bargaining units to access and implement labor/management grants.
• Oversee creation and distribution of agency wide communications informing employees of professional development opportunities from several sources such as: PSWP, NYS and CSEA Partnership, partnering State agencies, educational institutions.
• Benchmark across New York State agencies to collaborate on training and development activities and programs.
• Administer employee training data in the SLMS for both internal and external learners.
