Duties Description Under the supervision of a Recreation Complex Manager, the Skating Complex staff duties include:
• Maintaining the safety of patrons on the ice by ensuring all park rules and policies are being followed while creating a fun and safe environment.
• Monitoring the complex’s safety conditions, following emergency safety procedures, and reporting concerns when needed.
• Monitoring the skating admission line, snack bar, and entrances of the complex to ensure the complex doesn’t exceed capacity.
• Supporting Park programming and birthday parties, including event staffing, set-up, and break-down.
• Interacting with patrons to resolve questions, distributing information, and providing excellent customer service.
• Maintaining the facilities to ensure a clean and safe environment, including rink maintenance, sanitizing facilities and locker rooms, removing trash, and completing the upkeep of skate shops.
• Completing regular inspections of skate shop inventory and properly preparing required documentation and records.
• Assisting in other areas of the park as needed and performing other duties as assigned.
Additional Comments • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.
• Must be willing to support operational needs and special projects throughout the NYC Region as needed.
