Minimum Qualifications No civil service minimum qualifications - see the operational needs in the "additional comments" below.

Duties Description Under the supervision of maintenance supervisors, the Maintenance Staff duties include:
• Maintaining the park and facilities to ensure a clean and safe environment, which will include sanitizing facilities and comfort stations, removing trash, and completing landscaping duties throughout the park.
• Maintaining clean grounds, roadways, and complexes by sweeping, raking, shoveling, and removing debris, leaves, branches, snow, ice.
• Performing landscaping duties with the use of power-driven equipment such as mowers, blowers, and weed whackers.
• Supporting Park programming including event staffing as well as cleaning comfort stations and facilities.
• Assisting skilled or semiskilled trades people by performing a variety of semiskilled trades tasks.
• Interacting with patrons to resolve questions, distributing information, and providing excellent customer service.
• Assisting with clearing drains, roadways, facilities, picnic areas, and other areas during storm events while following emergency safety procedures and reporting when needed.
• Assisting in other areas of the park as needed and performing other duties as assigned.

Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor and must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.
• Must be willing to work outdoors year-round and, in all weather, conditions.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be willing to support operational needs and special projects throughout the NYC Region as needed.
