Minimum Qualifications Current NYS Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive status as a Health Program Administrator 1 (G23) OR a NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title at or above a (G21) and deemed eligible for transfer to Health Program Administrator 1 (G23) under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of the NYS Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of the Office of Professional Medical Conduct, this position is responsible for overseeing statewide administrative coordination, including personnel management and operations management, and overseeing the processing of board orders related to professional medical conduct, to include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Managing the human resources of the program, overseeing staffing including recruitment paperwork, coordination with fiscal unit on temp staffing, onboarding and offboarding, reporting of staffing data, and tracking of performance evaluations and staff development for both state and temporary staff. 2. Managing the program operations, including reviewing and developing policies and procedures and ensuring communication with all staff as appropriate.
3. Serves as the liaison to OPCHSM, AMSG, DOH HRMG and OMG and OITS staff.
4. Oversee and review the processing of Board orders including reviewing for completeness, obtaining appropriate approvals, following standard procedures for processing, reporting final actions.
5. Supervise administrative staff in personnel, operations management, and Board Order processing.
6. Providing administrative guidance and direction to six regional offices.
7. Supports the Assistant Director as necessary with business management of the office and other projects as assigned.
