Reassignment Qualifications (DOL EMPLOYEES ONLY):
Current Department of Labor employee, with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in a/an Employment Services Representative; if you have less than one year, you must be reachable on the current Employment Services Representative eligible list for this location, if one exists.

70.1 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in a title Grade 16 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.

Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES: The duties of the Employment Services Representative in the Division of Employment and Workforce Solutions (DEWS) will include but are not limited to the following:
• engage and promote NYSDOL Business Services to businesses;
• assess the skills of workers impacted by layoffs;
• organize targeted job fairs;
• develop customized recruitment events;
• customize presentations of DOL services and programs to business associations and affected businesses;
• represent DEWS and DOL at job fairs;
• coordinate community relations programs with partner organizations such as Local Workforce Investment Board, State and local economic development agency, or Chamber of Commerce;
• outreach to businesses and engage them in the promotion and usage of available services and provide any technical assistance to facilitate their use of these services;
• monitor all business activities and do follow up to ensure the businesses needs were met.

Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evenings and/or out-stationed assignments.

Candidate MAY be allowed to telecommute up to 4 days day per pay period dependent upon operational needs.
