Duties Description The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is seeking to hire an Associate Budget Analyst (SG 23) in the Finance Bureau - Revenue Unit. The position will supervise a team and be responsible for various revenue-related functions including oversight and management of bank reconciliation, transition to updated revenue system and development of regional training resources.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Assist in transition to new revenue system, work with system development team to plan transition to new system. Assist with writing user guide and providing regional training.
• Oversee credit card processing. Responsible for every aspect of credit card processing including create new merchant IDs (MIDs), close MIDs that are no longer needed, temporarily closing and subsequently reopening seasonal MIDs, order replacement terminals, analyze credit card processor invoices, complete and submit program plan applications and work orders for OGS approval, work with vendors and credit card processors to troubleshoot issues with credit cards, and reconciling credit card transactions.
• Manage point of sale system. Work with unit staff to add/remove users and inventory items.
• Process patron refunds. Review refund requests to ensure compliance with State Finance Law and agency guidelines.
• Remitting sales tax. Ensure that sales tax is filed and remitted by the 20th of the month. Verify that sales tax is being collected on all items sold in accordance with state sales tax laws.
• Updating fee schedule. Annually, work with regional staff to compile a list of proposed changes to current fees to be submitted for approval.
• Oversee miscellaneous receipts database on an annual basis.

• Knowledge of (or ability to learn) the Revenue system and Statewide Financial System
• Knowledge of (or ability to learn) statewide revenue policies
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
• Ability to interact with patron, customer service oriented
