Salary RangeFrom $79325 to $100342 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: one year of permanent service as a Data Analyst 1 OR bachelor’s degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, and three years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with public health insurance eligibility and enrollment systems and data; and Experience with data extraction and manipulation as it relates to formal reporting managing health-related information
Duties Description Works on data requests and analyses for the NY State of Health Marketplace. Work directly with customers to elicit requirements to meet the reporting needs of the project; following industry standards, create data flow and other diagrams which accurately represent the needs of the business; devises methods for identifying data patterns and trends in data sources; assesses data structures and how they can be used to produce desired reports to help drive outcome based results; conducts or coordinates tests to ensure that business intelligence solutions are consistent with defined needs; tests, validates, and reformulates models to ensure accurate prediction of outcomes of interest; creates written reports and effectively communicates/presents results; may supervise other staff; work with project staff to transition solutions into an operational model to meet the ongoing needs of the business.
