Minimum Qualifications A doctorate and three years of professional research experience in the appropriate field; or a master’s degree and four years of such experience; or a bachelor’s degree and five years of such experience.


PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Masters degree or doctoral degree in psychology or social work.

PREFERRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 years of postdoctoral experience or 5 years of post-master’s degree experience in clinical psychiatric research. Experience with psychiatric assessments, supervision of clinical staff, and quality control in clinical research

Duties Description Specific responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:

The candidate is expected to:
• Contribute to leadership of the clinical infrastructure of the Anxiety Disorder Clinic and its embedded NYS Center of Excellence for Cultural Competence and Hispanic Treatment Program for conducting cutting edge translational clinical research, including development of novel treatments and service-delivery approaches.
• Conduct diagnostic and clinical psychiatric assessments.
• Train and mentor personnel (research clinicians, students, fellows, research assistants) in assessments and good clinical research practices.
• Support principal investigators in maintaining and overseeing documentation of quality control practices.
• Assist ADC director and principal investigators in managing personnel, including hiring and certification.
• Assist principal investigators in budgeting projects, tracking accounts, and allocating staff effort.

Additional Comments Background Investigation/Justice Center Review:
Prospective appointees will be: 1) Checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment and may have their names removed from the eligible list(s) for the title(s) if applicable. 2) Investigated through a Criminal Background Check (CBC) which includes State and federal Criminal History Record Checks. All convictions must be reported; conviction of a felony or misdemeanor, or any falsified or omitted information on the prospective appointee’s employment application may bar appointment or result in removal after appointment. Each case will be determined on its own merits, consistent with the applicable provisions of State and federal laws, rules, and regulations. Prospective employees will be fingerprinted in order to obtain a record of their criminal history information, and may be required to pay any necessary fees. 3) Screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR). Prospective employees may be required to pay any necessary fees. Additionally, prospective employees whose names are indicated on the SCR may be barred from appointment.
